The Early Bruce Plum is a vigorous, early-season hybrid plum prized for its ability to thrive in warmer climates and produce delicious fruit with minimal care. A cross between Japanese and native American plums, it yields medium-sized red fruit with yellow flesh and a sweet-tart flavor, perfect for fresh eating, baking, or preserves. This variety is an excellent choice for growers in the South thanks to its low chill requirement and strong resistance to disease and pests. The Early Bruce plum flowers and fruits earlier in the season.
