Mid‑Century Victorian Revival Brooch

Century Victorian Revival Filigree Brooch

Era: 1950s–1960s
Style: Victorian Revival / Mourning Revival
Materials (likely): Gold‑tone alloy, black glass stones, stamped filigree
Construction: Pressed metal filigree plate with a layered floral centerpiece and prong‑set stones
Vibe: Dramatic, gothic, romantic — the kind of piece mid‑century designers created to echo 1880s mourning jewelry but with modern costume‑jewelry materials.

• The black floral center mimics Victorian jet or gutta‑percha motifs.
• The openwork filigree frame is classic mid‑century revival manufacturing.
• The dimensional layering is very 1950s costume jewelry engineering.
• The stones look like faceted glass, not true jet — another mid‑century hallmark.
